Sadly, our team didn't win the election this time around. We tried very hard, worked very hard and we were committed to the entire process. The efforts, support and encouragement of our friends, family and even people who were once strangers, but became supporters and friends, were, and always will be, so very appreciated. We learned about the process in an arena that is always demanding, often frustrating, many times negative, yet still so very critical, important and incredibly enlightening. We will always be proud of the positive approach we took, the effort we made and the new friendships we made along the way.
While we may not know what will come next for us in the political arena, we have so many wonderful things unfolding in our personal life. We do know that there are important changes that really do need to be made in our government, America, Nevada and our local communities. We will always have ideas and real solutions to help positively make as many changes as we can and to continue to help facilitate continued growth and change where we are able. True change takes leadership, ideas, plans, risks, consistent dialogue and compromise. We have the qualities, the experience and the desire to elicit change and to bridge the gaps and mend many of the fractures that we see in both our local and national government and the ways in which they are run.
Each of the candidates in this particular race took an enormous risk, made many sacrifices and faced countless challenges and naysayers from the very beginning. The courage, diligence and strength of each of them should be commended and applauded. They were willing to step up and do something that most Americans are not willing to do. I can only hope that we, as Americans, realize that, as insurmountable as it may seem, we truly CAN make a difference and elicit change. To do this, we must be willing to be leaders, present alternative ideas (instead of saying someone is wrong or something can't be done), take risks and build a strong team, one person at a time, of others who are willing to take a chance and believe that we can, once again, live the American dream.
Thank you for your time, encouragement, hard work and support. Stay tuned to see what lies ahead...

The Primary Election is today, Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.! Your support and belief in this campaign are so appreciated. I truly hope that we will get to move forward, as a very strong team, after today's election. But before we can move forward, we need to get through today...with the most votes! This is where all of your support, all of the people you have talked to and all of the cards, signs and brochures you have handed out really need to come into play. Your friends, families, colleagues and even those people you met while waiting in a line or on an elevator have the information they need...now they need to take that information and physically go to their local polling location and cast their votes for those candidates that best represent their ideas and goals. You've heard it before, but it is worth repeating again and again...every vote counts! We just got off the phone with a friend who's husband was the mayor of their town a few decades ago. His first time out, he won by a landslide...his second time out, all of his supporters just knew he'd win...complacency set in and many didn't vote...he did win...by only TEN votes!!! That was the day that all of his supporters realized how important and significant their voices and their physical votes really were. Please, let's not let complacency play a roll today. Please vote.
